Recommended

Your gun (kind of important)
Battery for your gun
Biodegradable BBs
Eye protection*
Long Pants
Boots**

Sling for your gun
BDU or Camo***
FRS Radio / Headset
Knee and Elbow Pads
Helmet or Balaclava
Tactical Vest
Thong Bikini

* Eye protection - This counts as fully sealing goggles, safety-rated glasses, or a full paintball mask. It's your choice, but you take the responsibility of getting shot in the face at your own risk
** Boots - While this may seem like common sense to most, we require them because we don't want anyone being hurt or slowed down by improper footwear. Also Johnny McSmokespot looks like a loser with his awesome gun and stupid sandals running around.
*** BDU or Camo - This is also your choice, but you will stick out like a sore thumb in your Sonic Youth '94 Tour T-shirt while the rest of your team is concealed in the bushes. Also, they may not want you next to them screaming "Here I am, shoot at this giant white target!"

Age: All players must be at least 18 years of age to play.

Atmosphere: We at AWG Airsoft like to encourage a laid back approach to airsoft (mostly because we're lazy).  While we enjoy MILSIM and competitive games, what we do not enjoy is an elitist attitude.  We are open to all levels of experience, so anyone who is not open to helping out people new to the sport will not be invited back.  Also, if you lose a game, like you are destined to do eventually, don't let it ruin the day for yourself, or more importantly, everyone else.

Hits and Kills: This is a game that requires honor amongst it's players in order to work properly. A hit to the body, head, or limbs is considered a killing blow unless specifically mentioned before game. This is common sense, just don't be a jerk and swear that you weren't hit when three people saw the BB peg you in the face. Disputes will be settled by consensus, and if worse comes to worse, we'll just say you're dead and ask you to sit the rest of the game out if you're being an ass.  Hits to the gun or ricochets do not count.

You've been shot, now what? When you are hit, immediately say "I'm out" or "Hit" loudly so anyone in the vicinity (especially the guy shooting at you) knows it. After you're sure the opposing player knows you're hit, walk to a designated staging area with your gun above your head. This is critical, as it shows anyone else who might see you that you're down for the game. The last thing we want is someone getting pissed because they were shot after they were already out.

Surrender! These guns, though they only shoot 6mm plastic pellets, do pack a nice punch at close distances. They can even break skin if shot too closely. For this reason we have a 10ft surrender rule. Basically, if you can make it within 10 ft of an enemy player without them noticing, you can yell "Bang!" or "Surrender!" and they must, well... surrender.  When someone surrenders, they are considered out and must return to the staging area until the next game.

Velocity Limits: All AEGs must be rated at or lower than 350fps and all snipers must be rated at or less than 500fps.  Before we begin the first game we will chrono everyone's gun.  We will remove the magazine from your gun and place 4 of our own .20g bio BBs into the magazine before firing it through the chronograph.  This is to ensure that all guns are measured with the same type of ammo.  After 4 shots, if the majority of them are over 350, even by 1fps, you will not be allowed to use the gun.

Ninja Vanish: At the end of the day, when we're ready to pack up and go home, we usually make a sweep of the area and clean up any trash we may have left behind.  The idea is to leave the place as clean as when we arrived so that we can return without a problem.  Ninjas vanish without a trace.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is only what we require to play. If we play a game with another team, or are involved in a larger action at a sanctioned and supported event, you must adhere to their rules. Be sure to check the team or event's website for more information.
